On October 2nd, 2023, MCM, a subsidiary of Verre industrie, has acquired the beaconing activity of CORNING SAS.
The manufacturing and surface coating of glass moulded parts (prisms and lenses) had been taken over by CORNING in 2022. In the coming weeks, the needed equipment will be transferred to the MCM site, a few kilometres away from Jouarre, in a refurbished building.
Verre Industrie is specialised in glass for aircraft interior and exterior lighting, also in airfield lighting sector with other product categories. Thanks to its subsidiary MCM, Verre Industrie is widening its product offer in the aeronautic lighting market.
The first 8 renovated Mats Perle were installed on Place de Varsovie in Paris at the end of September 2023.
