Verre Industrie wishes you a merry Christmas
For a medical customer looking for glass doors for cleaning machines that combine good resistance to chemical agents with maximum safety, Verre Industrie supplied insulating glass units combining borofloat glass (inside) and laminated toughened glass (outside).
Entrust us with your requirements
On 13 November 2023, the new RER-NG carried its first passengers on line E between Haussmann-Saint-Lazare and Chelles-Gournay in Paris area.
Also on board were several types of glass manufactured by Verre Industrie, including
protective glass for passenger information systems and protective glass for surveillance cameras.
Verre Industrie is proud to be part of this magnificent project.

In addition to the size of the glass and the quantity, other factors have an influence:
– The type of glass: soda-lime, borosilicate, aluminosilicate or quartz are all materials with very different prices per m2.
– The shape: a complex shape and/or tight tolerances require the use of a machining centre, which increases the price of your glass.
– Edge: a simple finish can be produced manually. A machined or polished finish requires additional work, which has an impact on the price.
– Tempering: if the glass is subjected to heat, pressure or mechanical stress, thermal or chemical tempering is required.
– Additional operations such as screen printing, laminating or assembly add to the cost of the glass.
In all cases, contact us in your early development so that we can offer you a suitable solution.
The increasing demand for curved glass in aeronautics and railways prompted us to order a new bending furnace. Delivery is scheduled for April 2024.
With a size of 2200 x 1200 mm, it is identical to our current installation and will thus double the bending capacity.
The bending technique involves placing a flat glass on a mold and heating it slowly and evenly to reach its softening point.
The glass then collapses on the mold and follows its shape.
Slow annealing after bending eliminates stress.

Based on your technical requirements, we propose all possible solutions.
To ease your choice, we keep samples of our glass range in 150X100 mm size.
Verre Industrie has molding partners for small-sized glasses in small and medium series, in borosilicate and soda-lime glass, clear and colored.
Our machining know-how allows the completion of complex shapes.
Thanks to our partner MCM, we also provide additional service:
– thermal toughening
– dichroic coating
– mirror coating.
Verre Industrie has been selected to supply chemically toughened glass components to protect the headlights of intercity trains on the Mexico-Toluca line.
This is the second rail project recently won by Verre Industrie in the fast-growing Mexican market.
The buses recently put into service in Saint-Etienne required glasses produced by Verre Industrie for:
– Dashboard
– Board computer
– Rearview camera
– Anti-aggression door glass
– Glass for passenger information system.
Each product being subject to different technical constraints, we have been able to find solutions adapted to each case.
