Production history: “borofloat” glass

Borosilicate glass, also known as Pyrex® and Borofloat®, is a mixture of 80% silica and about 15% boron.

It has a low coefficient of expansion and is therefore characterized by excellent thermal resistance (up to 500°).

It has a good ability to withstand mechanical shocks and offers perfect resistance to chemical aggression.
