Borosilicate glass, also known as Borofloat®, is an exceptional material combining thermal resistance (up to 500°C), mechanical durability and chemical resistance. Its unique composition, based on 80% silica and 15% boron, makes it an ideal choice for demanding applications. With exceptional optical transmission, particularly in infrared up to 2000 nm, it is suitable for various uses: sight glasses (thermal, chemical, pharmaceutical industry etc.), optics (lenses, prism etc.) , or even components for household appliances, military or medical.
Available in various sizes and thicknesses, Borofloat® glass can be cut, machined, tempered, screen printed or laminated to meet the specific needs of each project. At Verre Industrie, we also provide coating deposition through our subsidiary MCM.
